The 123/RENAULT-4-R-V is a distributor, specifically targeted for the "Cleon"-engines as used in Renault 4, Renault 5, 4F4, 4F6, Renault Estafette and DAF55.

The 123/renault-4-R-V contains all the curves for carbureted-engines as originally specified by Renault. The end-user can select one of 15 different advance-curves by means of a little switch in the side of the distributor-body.

Please read the installation manual carefully. It contains more information about static timing and the advance-curves, the specifications of the 123-ignition and a step-by-step description of the installation procedure.

Coil and spark plugs

Although used coils all look alike, they should be viewed with suspicion since one cannot tell from the outside whether, and how often they were exposed to overheating in the past. Installing the 123ignition system will ensure that the coil will never be overheated again in future. We recommend the High Energy Coil 2020.

DAF55 met 1.4 motor

Mooie kwaliteit, heel veelzijdig (veel curves aanwezig) en installeerd heel makkelijk. Let alleen op dat de body lijkt iets breder dan de orginele verdeler, zo bougie 2 en 3 zijn wat lastiger te bereiken.

Plug and play

Zondagavond besteld. Gisteren binnen.
Vandaag geïnstalleerd.

Netjes de gebruiksaanwijzing gelezen en vervolgens erin gezet.
Echt plug and play. Alleen even wat oogjes op de draadjes moeten zetten voor het contact met de bobine.

Sleutel omdraaien en direct lopen. Moest alleen de timing even finetunen met de stroboscoop.
Motor loopt nu heel rustig. Ook op toeren.

good piece of equipment

ARRIVED IN GOOD TIME, I HAD PROBLEMS INSTALLING THE 123 AND I PUT OUT THE TIMING TRYING TO INSTALL IT.

ENDED UP TAKING IT TO A GARAGE THEY CHARGED ME 38 EURO NOW EVERY THING IS GREAT AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE 123

Works fine with Volvo 66

Tested and works fine with Volvo 66GL 1975 with Renault based B130 engine. Advance setting should be set to C and main advance to 3 degrees, NOT 6 as with old distributor.

Should work fine with B13.0S and BB110 too if basic advance is set to 0 degrees.
